The historic Pastime Theatre, built in 1937, was restored by The Winfield Main Street Program in early 2002.
In 2005, Main Street deeded the theatre to the City of Winfield who appointed a seven-member board to manage the day-to-day operation of the theatre. Board members are David Miles, Nancy Moss, Ron Moss, Nick Posey, Stephen Preuninger, Kevin Garner and Mary Hyche. Amy Burleson is the office manager.
The mission of The Pastime Theatre board is to enhance the cultural atmosphere of Winfield and the surrounding area by providing musical, artistic and educational programs for citizens of all ages and diversity.
Concerts featuring nationally and internationally known artists, as well as incredibly talented local artists, are scheduled each year. Performances range from country to classical, jazz to blue grass, and gospel to rock genres, and appeal to all ages.

The theatre, which is now a performing arts theatre, seats 317, is handicapped accessible, and is located in downtown Winfield. Adequate free, well-lit parking is available. The theatre has state-of-the-art digital sound and lighting systems, comparable to what you would expect in much larger venues. Most artists interact with the audience and mingle at meet and greet events after the concerts. The smaller intimate setting helps create a memorable concert experience.
